The Organising Committee is delighted to have attracted to Dewars Centre, Perth, the Mens and Ladies World Junior Curling Championships which will take place between

5th and 13th March 2011.

I am pleased to advise that the committees have been hard at work in the planning of the event, but still have a great deal to do, in order that we can continue the high standards set by previous host committees. I would like to acknowledge the commitment and support of those who chair the following committees: David Hay (Vice Chairman) - Ice & Facilities; Peter Loudon - Marketing & Ticketing; James Ewart - Hotels & Transport; Emma Niven - Catering & Functions, and John Gellatly who is in charge of Finance.

It is extremely important that I acknowledge the support of the following organisations, in helping to attract this event to Perth. It would not have been possible without the commitment of The World Curling Federation, Event Scotland, Perth & Kinross Council, Perth Common Good Fund, and the Royal Caledonian Curling Club. There are many other sponsors who are giving "in-kind" support, and they will be acknowledged on the website and in the Official Programme. Finally, I would like to extend a personal welcome to the players, coaches, officials, and spectators, and assure them that they will have a great time in the Fair City. I am looking forward to watching great curling from world class young athletes, and enjoy the fun and camaraderie of this long established event. The Organising Committee is going the extra mile, to ensure that everyone has a fantastic experience in Perth at the 2011 World Juniors.

Bill Duncan, Chairman of the Organising Committee
